We crossed the shallow creek when Alan decided he liked boating and drove down the middle rather than across.

He had followed the small creek until it dumped into the bigger one, of course, where there is a waterfall there is a deep hole and he found it, submerging his front end.

Rover to the rescue, Eric pulled his friend Alan out of the muck and began to siphon the water from the carburetors.

We all rendezvoused at Dan's warehouse for a big 'ol fix it party. All and all, a trailing arm replacement, drain and replacement of all the jeep fluid, change of pulley bearing on the Disco and general re-supply and we were back in business.

Sam and I went back to camp started the fire and were met  later by Eric and Mike Sr. and Mike Jr. who came up for a few hours while the wives gambled at the casino's. Mike's Disco flashers were going wild just as Eric's did the night before. Eric informed him of the secret mystic British chants and handshakes to make it stop.

More Drama ensued on the way back to camp. Dan's Rover blew a Radiator hose and Alan's jeep had a nice transmission fluid milkshake fountain from the breather but eventually everyone made it back and we had a heck of a grill-off with: corn, salmon, steak, beans and some sautéed veggie's.

The next morning we woke early and after coffee and some thorough camp clean up we all limped off Cow Mountain and made our way home. It was quite an adventure and although we didn't get as much wheeling as expected I got my share of country and peace.

Dan's hospitality and the proximity to his workshop make for many reasons to plan events at this lovely location. Thanks to Dan and all those who came for a great weekend.
